Has more than nine years of experience teaching composition, creative writing, and literature to high school and college students. She is currently an Assistant Professor of English at Monmouth University. A Durham, NC native, Graedon graduated from the Carolina Friends School before continuing on to graduate magna cum laude from Brown University with a B.A. in Religious Studies. Graedon then received her M.F.A. in fiction writing from Columbia University’s School of the Arts. She is also a writer of fiction and nonfiction, and her critically acclaimed debut novel, The Word Exchange (Doubleday, 2014), has been translated into eight languages.
