The founding Pre-K teacher at Brooklyn Arbor Elementary School and has provided literacy-based academic intervention, after school, for struggling students and English Language Learners for the past six years. Prior to that, she was a Special Education Itinerant Teacher (SEIT), serving students with special needs in private preschools, Head Start programs, and public school classrooms across Brooklyn. Donna has a Masters of Science in Early Childhood Education and holds certification in educating Students with Disabilities and Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL). She has received training in the interventional programs Sounds in Motion and Learning Without Tears. In an educational climate that can oftentimes be stress- and anxiety-inducing for even our youngest learners, Donna's goal is to put the joy back in education through multi-sensory instruction and fostering student agency, and to inspire children to become fully engaged in their path to mastery!
