Currently teaches K-5 Science at The Brearley School. Liz graduated summa cum laude from Temple University’s Honors Psychology and Neuroscience program. Her studies were focused on fMRI imaging and visual trends. While studying at Temple, she received the Diamond Scholar Award and the Psychology Prize Baccalaureate Award, both for academic excellence and research contributions. After taking a year off from academia to work in fundraising and development at her favorite nonprofit, the Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society, she returned for a Master’s degree in Elementary Education at the University of Pennsylvania, from which she graduated with honors. She has taught as a K-4 specialist in Computer Science, at Moorestown Friends School, and Engineering, at BASIS Independent Manhattan. She has worked with many students one-on-one to strengthen their skills in computational thinking, confidence and proficiency in STEM disciplines, and reading and writing creatively.
