Middle School Generalists, Elementary / Lower School
The IEP teacher at Brooklyn Arbor Elementary School, in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, where she works with small groups of high-need students from grades 2-5 to provide targeted, individualized instruction to develop literacy and math skills. She has received training in the Orton-Gillingham based program SPIRE, and has attended professional development institutes hosted by The Teachers College Reading and Writing Project. She previously taught fourth grade, and was the Special Educator in an Integrated Co-Teaching classroom. Victoria has five years of experience with preparing students in grades 3-5 for New York State Common Core Exams in classroom and tutoring environments. She has tutored across a variety of settings, and worked with students ranging from elementary school to high school ages. A double major in Psychology and Communication with a B.A. from Fairfield University where she graduated magna cum laude, Victoria received her master’s degree, summa cum laude in childhood education and special education from Hunter College. Victoria loves engaging students in fun learning activities, while increasing their skills, motivation and confidence.
